Actiona is a cross-platform desktop automation tool that helps users automate repetitive tasks on their computer without necessarily writing a full program. It can emulate user input such as keyboard presses, text entry, mouse movement, mouse clicks, and mouse wheel actions, but it can also interact with the system more directly by running commands, opening URLs, displaying notifications, playing sounds, finding images on the screen, waiting for pixel colors, or controlling windows.

Tasks can be built visually using Actiona’s editor, where each step is represented as an action with configurable parameters. For more advanced workflows, Actiona also supports EcmaScript/JavaScript, allowing users to add custom logic, variables, loops, conditions, procedures, and dynamic values. JavaScript can be used not only as a standalone action, but also inside action fields, making it possible to combine simple visual automation with more powerful scripting when needed.

Actiona includes actions for device emulation, window management, system interaction, data manipulation, and execution flow control. It can read and write text, binary and INI files, work with the clipboard and environment variables, copy or download files, send emails, show message boxes, wait for windows or specific dates, jump to labels, run loops, pause execution, and stop or exit scripts. This makes it suitable for anything from small convenience scripts to more complex desktop automation scenarios.
